Veteran’s Day is Saturday, and PCJH is hosting an assembly on Friday at 10:15. Because PCJH realizes that freedom is NOT free, we extend this heartfelt invitation to our local veterans. Anyone able to join us should arrive no later than 10:10. Please bring a photo ID. Thank you, and thank you for your service!
Congratulations to PCJH's Athlete of the Week, Adrianna Cutrell!
Anna is a 14-year-old 8th grader from Chenoa, and is the daughter of Greg and Sharon Cutrell. Anna was nominated by Coach Gradberg, who wrote, "Anna has worked hard in learning her role as an undersized post player. She puts in time outside of practice to watch post players at the collegiate and professional levels. She asks questions and is coachable. Aside from her hard work, she is a comedic relief and always has something witty to say in response to her own performance or when the team is having a tough time on the court." Anna is also involved in Volleyball, Track, Choir, FFA, Peer Partners, and C.A.R.E.S Clowns at school, and she is very active outside of school with her church youth group and aspires to one day be in a position where she can make a difference as a coach, athletic trainer, and/or fitness and nutrition coach.
Congratulations to PCJH's Student of the Week, Huma Manha!
Manha is a 13-year-old 8th grader from Chatsworth, and is the daughter of Jewel Luther and Afroza Sultana. Manha was nominated by Ms. McArdle, who wrote, "Manha works hard during science class and is always ready to share insightful thoughts during class discussions. She is quick to help any struggling classmates. She really works with those students and takes the time to explain concepts so that they can truly understand. Manha is a self taught artist and really enjoys that hobby outside of school. She would love to make a living doing something within the art realm but understands it may be easier to make a living as a software engineer or a doctor. Ms. McArdle knows Manha has the intelligence and the work ethic to be anything she puts her mind to!" Manha is also one of the Junior High Student Librarians.
